💡 Motivation

My name is Georgy, and I'm a software engineer. ActOnCue started as a personal project to help my girlfriend, an actor, who was endlessly auditioning. Put it plainly, she asked for this app, and here it is.

Thanks to some new AI tech, I could build a solution: a digital reader that's always ready to go. I wanted to create something that would handle much of the logistics, especially for actors with a day job. Before I knew it, other actors were using the tool and sending me their ideas. You all have been essential in building ActOnCue, and I can't thank you enough.

🎭 Our Philosophy

We need to be clear about something: ActOnCue is not designed to replace the magic of working with a human actor/partner. Real acting is about connection and authentic reaction, and nothing will ever change that.

Our focus is on a different part of the process: the audition grind. The world of casting is a numbers game. It's a funnel designed to quickly find a "role fit," and so much of it is out of your control. Casting directors aren't measuring how many hours you rehearsed; they're looking for a match, often in the first few seconds of your self-tape. That's where ActOnCue comes in.

Our mission is to handle the technical, repetitive parts of audition prep so you can be free to do what you love. ActOnCue is your tireless rehearsal partner, helping you nail your lines and submit your self-tapes with ease.

Instead of the stress of scheduling with friends or the cost of paying for a reader, you get a tool that’s always ready when you are. The aim is to provide a reader that is reliable, pleasant to work with, and gives you the freedom to explore your performance without judgment.
