What is Act-On-Cue?
Act-On-Cue is your audition scene co-star. It acts as your line reader, recognizes cues, and helps your record a naturally sounding self-tape.
Who created Act-On-Cue?
Act-On-Cue is designed for actors, by an actor.
How does Act-On-Cue work?
You first upload your script. Then, you record an audio for each line of other characters. When you say the last word of your line (the trigger word), Act-On-Cue will read the other character line back to you.
How do I add new lines?
There are many ways to add or edit lines in your script: new lines can be added by transcribing audio or typing them out. Or by uploading your script as an image.
What devices does Act-On-Cue support?
Act-On-Cue runs on any device that has Internet. That means: iPhones & Androids, iPads and laptops.
What languages does Act-On-Cue support?
For now, English (all accents: US, GB, CA, AU) is the main supported language. In the future, support will be added for other popular languages.
Does Act-On-Cue require an internet connection or sign-up process?
Yes. Act-On-Cue is an online tool. You need to sign up so you can create and manage your scenes in your account.
Can I change the way Act-On-Cue reads lines?
You can change the pitch, speed up or slow down the audio. More features will be added to further customize the voiceover.
Does Act-On-Cue have a teleprompter feature?
Yes, Act-On-Cue has a built-in teleprompter to help you memorize your lines and provide you with hints at recording time, incase you forget your lines.
