How to Use the Teleprompter

The teleprompter on Act on Cue is designed to support a smooth, responsive rehearsal experience—especially when working with the AI scene partner. It scrolls in real time, tracks your voice, and keeps you visually aligned with the flow of the scene.

When the Teleprompter Appears

You don’t need to activate it manually. As soon as you click Rehearse, the teleprompter starts automatically. It follows your voice as you speak, scrolling the script to match your performance and highlighting each line if needed. This helps keep your place in the scene while allowing for a natural rhythm.

How It Works

The teleprompter is fully integrated with the AI reader. As you say your line, the app listens and waits. Once you finish speaking, your AI partner responds, and the teleprompter continues to follow the back-and-forth flow of the scene. The pacing is guided by your own voice—no artificial timing or forced delays—making the experience intuitive and performance-friendly.

Customisation Options

While you can't adjust the speed manually (since it's based on your delivery), you do have control over how your script appears on screen. You can:

  • Adjust text size for easy reading
  • Choose which elements to display: action lines, parentheticals, character names, and dialogue

This lets you build a clean, focused visual that works for your performance needs.

Available Across Devices

The teleprompter works seamlessly on both desktop and mobile versions of Act on Cue, giving you the same fluid experience no matter where you rehearse or record.
