This is a must have app if you're an actor when you need a reader or you just need to rehearse your lines. There are lots of settings you can use to set it up just the way you want it. There's a mobile version and also a web version and they both work great! This is my number one most useful app!

Is this a line learner app?
Yes. Hide your lines, rehearse out loud while the app cues you, and reveal to check. It works as a line learner for scenes and a script memorizer for longer material.
How does the app help me memorize lines?
Through active recall. A line sticks when you try to remember it, not when you re-read it. The app hides your line, plays your cue, and makes you pull the words from memory. That moment of recall is where the memory forms, and the app drills your cues right alongside your lines, so you learn when to speak, not just what to say.
Why is it faster than writing lines out or voice memos?
Because those methods are mostly setup, not learning. Writing every line out, recording each character as a voice memo, or making first-letter sheets by hand takes hours before any real practice starts. The app builds all of that automatically from your PDF, so you go straight to recall practice, the part that actually forms the memory.
Can I learn a monologue with it?
Yes. Load a monologue, speech, or any block of text and drill it with first-letter prompts and hide-and-reveal until it sticks.
Is the line learner app free?
Yes, free to download and free to start. Line learning sessions are free, so if you record the other lines yourself or bring your own audio you pay nothing. Premium AI voices are available through a one-time top-up.
Does it work on iPad?
Yes. The app works on iPhone (iOS 17.6+), iPad (iPadOS 17.6+), Mac with Apple silicon (macOS 14.6+), and Apple Vision Pro.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet, an Android app is coming soon. In the meantime, the full web version works in any mobile browser and stays synced with your account.
Do I have to type my lines in?
No. Upload a PDF of your script (even a messy scan) or paste the text, and the app splits and formats it into a clean script you can rehearse from.
Can I learn lines by listening?
Yes. Listen mode reads the whole scene aloud with natural voices and can leave a gap where your line goes, so you learn your part by ear, hands free.
Does it recognize my voice?
Yes. In perform mode the app listens as you speak, recognizes your cue, and brings the reader in at the right moment.
