Is this a self tape app for iPhone?
Yes. The iOS app runs on iPhone and iPad. It plays the other characters in your scene, keeps your lines on screen, and records your tape with the built-in camera.
Do I need someone to read with me?
No. The app reads every other character and responds on your cue, so you can tape alone at any hour without chasing a reader.
Does the app record video too?
Yes. You rehearse with the reader and record your self tape from the same screen, so there is nothing to film separately and nothing to sync afterwards.
Is the app free?
Yes, free to download and free to start. You get free credits to rehearse and tape; premium voices and extra sessions are available through a subscription or one-time top-up.
Does it work on iPad?
Yes. The app works on iPhone (iOS 17.6+), iPad (iPadOS 17.6+), Mac with Apple silicon (macOS 14.6+), and Apple Vision Pro.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet, an Android app is coming soon. In the meantime, the full web version works in any mobile browser and stays synced with your account.
How do I get my script into the app?
Upload a PDF of your sides (even a messy scan) or paste the text, and the app splits and formats it into a clean script you can rehearse from.
Will my tape sound like AI?
Only if you want it to. Record the other lines yourself or with a friend and the app plays your takes back on cue, so the audio on your tape stays fully human.
How fast can I get a tape done?
Most actors go from sides to a finished tape in under 10 minutes: upload the PDF, pick a voice, rehearse a few takes, and record.
